Shelly Lucido, CPWU President
Hello APWU Family,
Due to the Aspen Acres fire, at least five Post Offices have been COOP’ed. At least one clerk represented by the CPWU has been severely impacted; while he knows his outbuildings have burned down, the status of his home remains uncertain, and he is currently paying out of pocket for lodging.

Working Families Friend, an organization that works closely with the CO AFL-CIO and the Labor Councils, has committed $1,500.00 to assist him. However, hundreds of other union brothers and sisters are also in need. While the organization is committed to helping these individuals, they urgently need donations.
If you or your local can contribute, please consider doing so. This organization supports Colorado workers during disasters and has a history of providing vital aid. Any contribution, regardless of size, makes a difference. If you cannot attend the fundraiser, you can still purchase a ticket to support our union members, including firefighters who have lost their homes while battling this fire.
In Solidarity,
Shelly R Lucido
